This photo is in memory of our kitty cat Mater. You know, like Towmater without the TA. *giggle* My daughters loved the movie “Cars” from Disney, can you tell? He passed away in January 2011 when he was only 5 years old. He was a kitty cat like no other so I wanted to create a tribute photo of him since we all miss him so much. This photo is one of my first Composite Photography creations. That is an editing technique where you take multiple elements from multiple photos and combine them to make a new artistic creation. It was so much fun to do!!
This creation is a combination of 3 different photos layered together with a texture used for the background and then another texture on top of all the photos. I used Corel Paint Shop Photo Pro X4 to create this tribute. The photo of Mater was taken when we were living in NY and the flowers are from photos taken at Sackets Harbor, NY. The butterflies can be seen flying around my mom’s garden in Pennsylvania. I used my Nikon CoolPix P100 and Nikon D5100 for all the photos. Thank you so very much for taking the time to look at my creation!! I hope you like it!
