This photo was taken on July 15, 2011, on the roof of the highest building in downtown Pittsburgh, PA. It used to be called the US Steel Building but now it is the UPMC Building. My friend and fellow RedBubble photographer, Donnie, and I had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to go on top of this building for an exclusive photo shoot. This is a night I will never EVER forget!! They used to allow people up on top of this building for special occasions but after 9/11 that has all but stopped and very few people are ever allowed up there now except for the maintenance workers that maintain the building. The setting sun was PERFECT that night and the rising moon was AMAZING! It turns out that the Full Moon rising that night was at the same altitude as the sun as it was setting, the last time that happened was 12 years before this photo was taken!! We could not have chosen a better night to have this opportunity. I hope you enjoy my photo and thank you so much for taking the time to look at it!
This photo was taken with my Nikon CoolPix P100. This photo was edited slightly with Corel PaintShop Pro X4
